Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Mare Nostrum Property Operations collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can require us to do with it. It is written to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Croatian implementing law.

Who is responsible

Mare Nostrum Property Operations is the controller of the data described here. Company registration is in progress; the registered name, seat and identification numbers are published in the imprint on completion and repeated in this notice. Until then, write to info@marenostrumproperty.com with any question about your data.

What we collect

Enquiry form. Your name, email address, the location and type of the property, the service you are asking about, your timing, your preferred language, anything you write in the message field, and the fact that you gave consent. All of it is data you type yourself.

Contractor form. Business name, contact person, email, phone, trade, service area and the message you write.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, the requested URL, the time of the request and the browser user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site available and to investigate abuse.

Analytics. If analytics are enabled, they run without cookies and without collecting personal data — only aggregate page counts and referrers. We do not use advertising trackers, social pixels or cross-site profiling of any kind.

Why we may use it, and on what basis

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a possible engagement — Article 6(1)(b), steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
• Because you consented when submitting the form — Article 6(1)(a). You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.
• To keep the site secure and available — Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest.
• To meet accounting and tax obligations once you become a client — Article 6(1)(c).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who else sees it

• Contractors, but only the minimum needed to quote or perform work at your property, and only once you have asked us to obtain quotes. We do not pass your contact details to a contractor without telling you.
• Our hosting and email providers, as processors, under contract.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for marketing purposes. Where a provider is outside the European Economic Area, transfers are made under the safeguards permitted by Chapter V of the GDPR.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become an engagement: 24 months from the last message, then deleted.
• Client records: for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as accounting and tax law requires business records to be kept.
• Server logs: short-term, per our hosting provider’s retention.

Your rights

You may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to another controller. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@marenostrumproperty.com — we answer within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you may complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka, AZOP), or to the supervisory authority in your own country of residence.

Cookies

This site sets one functional cookie, pref_locale, which remembers the language you chose so the site does not send you back to language selection on every visit. It contains a language code and nothing else. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
